Sisterhood

Being the first in my family to attend a university I did not know what to expect or what Greek Life really was. During my first year at Stetson, I saw girls go through recruitment and learned more about what Greek Life entailed and I knew that I wanted to take part in the following year. After my first year of being a member of the Gamma Chi chapter of Alpha Chi Omega, I have not only made lifelong friendships and bonds, but I have grown as an individual.

I learned the true definition of what a real, strong, woman was as soon as I met my sisters. Each with their own personalities, they all share similar values and embody what it means to be a powerful woman.   Many of my sisters held leadership roles, volunteered, prioritized academics, and had so much compassion for our chapter and our philanthropy, Domestic Violence Awareness. This encouraged me to want to pursue leadership roles and challenge myself to go out of my comfort zone knowing that I will have sisters right by my side supporting me.

From the first day I stepped foot into Alpha Chi Omega, I felt safe and at home with the girls. They made me feel like I can achieve anything that I set my mind to. The atmosphere is so motivating and joining Alpha Chi Omega has easily been the best decision I have ever made. I now know who my people are and those are the girls of the Gamma Chi chapter of Alpha Chi Omega. All the love, support, and fun memories are endless. I am so happy and proud to call Alpha Chi Omega my home away from home. I love all my sisters so much!
